House Calls Q&A

What kinds of house calls are available?

House calls allow you to get the care you need to thrive at a time and in a setting where you’re most comfortable. Dr. Papapetrou is proud to offer house calls as part of her concierge medical practice, and she understands the benefits of working one-on-one with her clients in a warm and welcoming setting.

Aphaea Women’s Health offers membership plans that include house call visits. You can choose a gynecology membership that includes a number of house calls throughout each year, including your well woman exams.

If you’re preparing to welcome a new family member into the world, obstetric memberships are also an option. These plans allow you to receive top-quality prenatal and pregnancy care without leaving home.

While most OB/GYN services can be delivered in an at-home setting, there may be times when an in-office visit is necessary. Some advanced diagnostic and treatment platforms are only available in-office.

If you are interested in medical aesthetics treatments or IV nutrition therapy, those services can also be administered during a house call, even if you are not part of a membership plan.

What are the benefits of house calls?

Convenience is a top reason women prefer house calls over traditional in-office appointments. The ability to receive care in a comfortable and familiar environment is a huge draw. For some, concerns about being exposed to viral infections or other health risks is a primary factor in choosing house calls.

Privacy is also important to many women, and house calls allow you to receive treatments in a controlled environment. If you’re considering giving BotoxⓇ or dermal fillers a try, house calls are a great option.

In terms of pregnancy, having Dr. Papapetrou come to you is a great benefit as you near the end of your pregnancy. Many women become incredibly uncomfortable as their due date nears and appreciate not having to travel and sit uncomfortably for those last few pregnancy care visits.

How should I prepare for my house call appointment?

There’s really no need to spend a lot of time or effort preparing for a house call appointment. If you’re concerned about changes or symptoms you’ve noticed, you may want to write down a list of questions and concerns so you don’t forget anything during your visit.

It’s also helpful to compile a list of any medications you’re taking, or any general health issues you’re being treated for. Dr. Papapetrou can incorporate this information into your permanent medical records.

There’s no need to get dressed up or do anything else to prepare for your visit. Just focus on getting comfortable and ready to welcome Dr. Papapetrou when she arrives.

Booking a house call visit takes very little time. Simply call the office to check appointment availability, or schedule using the simple online booking tool.
